Background
Aviation / Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Location
Munich
THE PROJECT
The goal was to create an online tool to allow a customer to configure a customized drone. For this, the client was required to visualize multiple complicated CAD Files, in a browser – quickly and reliably.
Project Name: Certhidea Drone Configurator
Technologies: The models are made with Autodesk Fusion360.
For the website, an embedded 3D GLTF viewer is used.
Languages/Platform: Autodesk Fusion360
THE SOLUTION
The GLTF Exporter for Autodesk Fusion 360 by Prototech proved to be a life saving tool for the client. It allowed them to export 100+ files in a flash. They found the solution to be extremely reliable and one which provided a lot of bells and whistles to control the export. This way they were able to optimize their export to be the perfect fit for their website and ensure a fast and smooth experience for their users which otherwise wouldn’t be possible.
Features
We mainly used the compression tool, in order to find the perfect point between optimal size and visual fidelity for us.

We used the GLTF exporter to quickly and reliably export a large number of complex GLTF files. It provided us with a lot of options for customizing our export. It can even export multiple files at once and also has a Compression/Quantization option for the output gltf file.
ProtoTech’s GLTF Exporter for Fusion 360 was a huge help!
